ANNOUNCEMENTS

DO YOU LOVE TO SING?

St. Ann’s is looking for teens who would like to sing at regular Sunday Masses. This is a great way to serve our parish and learn more about God’s word! Teens would be scheduled to lead songs at Mass about once a month. Mrs. Messenlehner (choir member) and Mrs. Beck (church organist) will meet with you to help you learn the songs. Info? ckimock@stann-emmaus.org

BECOME A TEEN LECTOR!

St. Ann’s needs teens with good speaking skills, reverence for God’s word, and the willingness to get to Mass when scheduled. There will be a training class for interested teens. Schedules take into account your Mass preferences. For more information or to sign up for training, please contact Chris Kimock at 610-965-6888 or ckimock@stann-emmaus.org.

DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS HOMEBOUND?

St. Ann’s Visitation Ministry members are compassionate companions who visit those who are in nursing/assisted living facilities or homebound. If you know someone who would like a visit, please contact Bob Jones at 610-965-3609 or email rtjones1@ptd.net.

COLLECTING USED SHOES FOR ZIMBABWE

Did your kids outgrow their shoes this year? Are you organizing your closets? St. Ann’s can use your gently worn or unused shoes and give them a new life around the world! A collection box is located in the lobby under the Information Desk. A pound of shoes generates funds that support our sister school in Mlomolimoto, Zimbabwe. Drop off your men’s/women’s/kids’ sneakers, casual or dress shoes, work boots, sandals, heels, flats, or loafers to make a global difference! Please, no flip-flops, wet or mildewed shoes, winter boots, holes in soles, or slippers. Over the past 2 years, money raised by St. Ann School through this program has been helping the school in Zimbabwe purchase paper, pencils, and other school supplies for students!

RECYCLING CONTAINERS NOT TO BE USED

St. Ann’s is no longer accepting paper in the large green & white containers in the parking lot. The company has stopped collecting the paper and has not removed the bins. We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.

PROTECTING GOD’S CHILDREN PROGRAM

September 22nd
8:45 am - Noon in the Parish Life Center

If you plan to volunteer with the school, parish, scouts, CYO, or PREP program, now is your chance to attend a PGC workshop at St. Ann’s.

All Diocese of Allentown volunteers and employees who have contact with children are required to attend a Protecting God’s Children Program. This presentation is made by trained facilitators from the diocese “to educate every Diocesan priest, employee and volunteer who interacts with children about the damage caused by child sexual abuse and what they can do to prevent it.” If you attended a Protecting God’s Children program in the past you do not need to attend again.

This program is not suitable for children. No one under the age of 18 may attend. Please make other arrangements for your children.

Please contact Chris Kimock before September 18th at ckimock@stann-emmaus.org or 610-965-6888 to register.
