PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY: DOING GOOD WORKS
We create prayer shawls and blankets for those who are sick, or in need of comfort, every 3rd Tuesday of the month, 2:00-4:30pm, in the Parish Life Center. The shawls are blessed by our pastors and are donated to hospice facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, etc. Blankets are distributed through Project Linus. WASA faithfully volunteers with us each month, and we’re always happy to have new volunteers! If you would like more info or to join our group, call Beverly Ruppert, 610-967-1663. If you know of someone in the parish who is in need of a shawl or blanket, please contact our Rectory.
SEARCHING FOR A YOUTH MINISTRY COORDINATOR!
Youth ministry is more than just a monthly meeting! Our teens are a vital part of the parish community, and we are looking for someone who will help them become more engaged in the life of our parish! The Youth Minister will coordinate meetings, conversation topics, and service opportunities in the parish and community, while including prayer and faith-based discussion. Deacon Peter serves as the Spiritual Director for Youth Ministry. Please contact Chris Kimock, Director of Religious Education, for details and more info at email@example.com or 610-965-6888. Monthly stipend included.
COLLECTING USED SHOES FOR ZIMBABWE
Cleaning out those closets for Spring? St. Ann’s can use your gently worn or unused shoes and give them a new life around the world! A collection box is located in the lobby under the Information Counter. Drop off your men’s/women’s/kid’s sneakers, casual or dress shoes, work boots, sandals, heels, flats, or loafers to make a global difference! Please, no flip-flops, wet or mildewed shoes, winter boots, holes in soles, or slippers. A pound of shoes generates funds that support our sister school in Mlomolimoto, Zimbabwe. Over the past 2 years, money raised by St. Ann School through this program has been helping the school in Zimbabwe purchase paper, pencils, and other school supplies for students!
STEEPLE RECONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE!
Our Parish Council would like you to know that our church steeple reconstruction project is complete! You may have noticed the shiny new steeple glistening in the sunshine. Repairing existing water damage and painting the ceiling will be next!
LET YOUR FLOWERS RAISE FUNDS!
Buying your spring flowers? Head to Dan Schantz Greenhouse, off of Lehigh St., with this flyer! St. Ann’s Knights of Columbus will receive $2 for purchases over $10. The Knights donates to our parish and many other charities. More coupons and flyers can be found at the information counter in the church lobby.
SHOPPING CART GIFT CARDS
Did you know that our St. Ann School's Shopping Cart fundraiser has kept thousands of dollars in our church operating budget? Using shopping cart gift cards regularly for your grocery shopping, special occasion gift giving, or when going out for a night on the town benefits St. Ann School every day! Participating retailers agree to sell us gift cards at discounted prices, you purchase them for face value, and St. Ann School benefits from the difference! Check out the gift card selection after Mass! Thank you for your support!
RECYCLING CONTAINERS NOT TO BE USED
St. Ann’s is no longer accepting paper in the large green & white containers in the parking lot. The company has stopped collecting the paper and has not removed the bins. We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.
