ADVENT REFLECTION

DECEMBER 13, 2017

My Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Mankind's first encounter with Jesus Christ took place in a cold stable in Bethlehem over 2000 years ago. God so loved the world that He sent his only begotten Son to save us from our sins. God humbled Himself to share in our humanity so that we might one day share in His divinity.

Each Sunday our warm parish family are blessed to encounter the Lord 'in Emmaus' at Mass and the sacraments. We hear His voice in the Scriptures and encounter Him in the 'Breaking of the Bread.'

Advent is a time of awaiting and meeting the Lord who promised to come again. Encounter the Lord's unconditional love in confession. Experience His real presence in the Eucharist. Discover His presence when we gather together in the Holy Spirit at Mass as the Body of Christ.

May this season of Advent prepare your hearts for the coming of our Savior. May this upcoming new year be a time of grace and peace for all.

Sincerely Yours,
