Volunteering is a great way to discover the gifts and talents God has given you. Keep volunteering until you find them!

God loves and cares for those in need through us. When we volunteer, we demonstrate love of neighbor. It is in giving that we receive (prayer of St. Francis) -- few things provide the satisfaction of helping others!

WE NEED YOU!

Volunteers are the heart of our parish family. Our paid parish staff is very small - most of our activities are coordinated and staffed by volunteers just like you. Your gift of time and talent makes all our ministries possible.

From teens to seniors, we have opportunities that fit your interests, or can inspire you to learn a new skill and meet new people.

See our Ministries and Organizations pages for ways you can serve the needs of our parish family and the larger community.

SAFE ENVIRONMENT PROGRAM

St. Ann's Parish and the Diocese of Allentown are committed to creating safe environments for our children.

WHAT IS OUR SAFE ENVIRONMENT PROGRAM?

All St Ann Parish employees, and any volunteers who may come into contact with children are required by PA state law to have the following background checks:

  • PA State Criminal

  • PA Child Abuse

  • FBI Fingerprinting

  • Mandated Reporter Training

Additionally, the Diocese of Allentown requires:

  • Signed Acknowledgments for the Diocesan Code of Conduct and Sexual Abuse Policy

  • Attendance at a Protecting God's Children Workshop

The complete policy, forms, and a message from our Bishop on youth protection can be found on the YOUTH PROTECTION page of the Allentown Diocese Web Site.

MANDATED REPORTER LIVE TRAINING

As a follow-up to the Mandated Reporter Training Policy, for those individuals who do not have access to a computer to complete the course, the Diocese of Allentown will be hosting training sessions that these individuals may attend. The Live 3-Hour long training sessions will be held at the locations and times stated HERE.

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well," but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it?
~ James 2:15-16

And the king will say to them in reply, "Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me."
~ Matthew 25:40
