If your children enjoy basketball, volleyball, cross country or track and field and you want them to join a program that fosters both their spiritual and physical development, then your children belong on a CYO sports team at St. Ann's.

WHAT ARE CYO SPORTS?

CYO sports are parish-based athletic programs overseen by the Office for Youth and Young Adult Ministry of the Diocese of Allentown.  The purpose of the program is to give Catholic young people the opportunity to play sports in a positive environment that fosters Christian values and good sportsmanship.  Each parish of the diocese determines which sports it will offer based on player interest and volunteer availability.

CYO SPORTS OFFERED AT ST. ANN'S:

  • Cross country (boys and girls)

  • Track & Field (boys and girls)

  • Basketball (boys and girls)

  • Volleyball (boys and girls)

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY:

The CYO programs at St. Ann's are open to all registered children of our parish, kindergarten through 12th grade, who receive religious education either at St. Ann's School or through our Parish Religious Education Program (PREP). Athletes are also required to be practicing Catholics who attend weekly Mass with their families.

VOLUNTEER COACHES:

All of our coaches and coordinators are parent volunteers who generously share their time, talent, and faith with the youth of our parish.  All volunteers must comply with the Diocese of Allentown Safe Environment Policy and also complete additional training specifically related to sports.  For more details, please visit the CYO Coaches' Requirements section of the diocesan Web site. If you have any questions or to volunteer, please email jas@gsfasteners.com.
